He's quick to listen to any command given to him by Matt -- but he seems to ignore any Pokemon or people around him unless asked by his owner to interact, or his assistance is needed. He can be quite snappy with younger Pokemon, and often seems to think he is on duty 24/7; whether it be on a case, or helping or guarding Matt as needed. He and Violet often get into scuffles when it comes to Matt.

She and Clyde often butt heads over Matt's well-being.
